Join the Heritage Singers Canada at their 40th Anniversary celebration and enjoy a taste of the Caribbean reliving the groups inception in 1977 when a group of friends wanted to escape the wintry blues.  The celebration will include excerpts from some of their best loved theatrical productions and concerts including their world tour to Taiwan singing Mei Hoa in perfect Mandarin, Hallelujah Pepperpot, Rebecca’s Dream, Zuzuwah, Olde Tyme Country wedding and more.  Enjoy guest performances from renowned artists Joan Andrea Hutchinson and Bello from the Caribbean and experience Mento and Quadrille on stage live.  The group will pay tribute to the Hon. Louise Bennett-Coverely, Jamaica’s Shakespeare and cultural icon.  Since 1977, the Singers have developed a mandate to promote the development of Caribbean folk music and

theatre and share this material with the greater Canadian community and bridge cultural gaps by helping other ethnic groups become more aware of and respect different cultures.  Don’t miss this event.
